Talking About Drugs
Going to college can open people up to a new world of education, friends, and drugs and/or other paraphernalia. Regardless of your personal view on drugs, many people in college use drugs; albeit a simple cup of coffee or cocaine. The personal vices of people influence who they hang out with and how they act. In most normal social circles, coffee, cigarettes, and marijuana are all relatively acceptable. In my family, everyone drinks coffee. My brother started drinking coffee at the age of 4 and still does it to this day at all times of the day. I will never drink coffee habitually as I believe that one day it will be found that coffee will cause cancer or something else bad. Cigarettes are also a very common drug used by people. Both my brothers now smoke cigarettes and I know many people who smoke cigarettes. I once again do not, though. They make me sick. I used to smoke cigars, but not anymore. I know many people who smoke marijuana. By my perspective, that is fine, but I understand the opposition against it. The less sociable acceptably drugs would be cocaine, speed, acid, and shrums to name a few. In general, these are drugs that are seen as more serious and possibly dangerous.

I've always been glad that I never took to cigarettes. Saved me a lot of "trying to quit" time down the road.
