Peer Mentor Seminar

I went to the seminar on test anxiety.  Honestly, I went just because I had to.  I really do not have test anxiety problems.  I am usually very calm going into a test or very excited at the most.  Though, the seminar offered many facts about test taking and the effect it had on people.  A key point presented was that everyone needs to have stress.  Without it, people would never do anything, but with too much stress, a person can become ill or have panic attacks.  It is important to find the balance of stress in all our lives.  The middle path is the best way to go when it comes to regarding stress.  I learned some of the physical ailments one can get from  stress and I a little shocked.  I know the basics such as sweaty palms, negative thoughts, and stomach aches.  I was surprised to learn that one could actually vomit from stress.  In the seminar, we played a game of tic tac toe and had to answer questions about stress to get to mark the spot we wanted.  Unfortunately, no one won the game, but in the process, we learned a lot of information.  I was pleased with the way the seminar went and how it was presented.  The best part of the whole thing though, had to be when everyone said their names and why they had come.  Just about everybody said it was to satisfy a muse class requirement.

I guess you can at least be glad you don't have those kinds of extreme stress problems.
